I’ve practiced child/adolescent/adult psychiatry in Albuquerque since 1990 with a specific shift to integrative/holistic psychiatry in the last two decades. I saw the need to bring nutrition, herbs and mind body medicine as I saw the limitations of allopathic medicine.
I'm currently an Associate Professor at UNM where I have a clinical practice and teach psychiatric residents integrative approaches that includes a Mind-Body medicine approach: Mindfulness Meditation, nutrition, herbs and key supplements/nutrients supporting optimal mental health. In my private practice, I am shifting my focus to education and coaching as well as advocating for integrating traditional medicines, such as Ayurveda, with allopathic medicine. Over the years, I’ve worked with people of all ages, cultures, and walks of life - and one thing has remained clear: healing is possible when we approach the whole person.
This Masterclass Series is my way of sharing that belief with more women. With the help of brilliant guest experts, I want to offer you grounded, practical support to move from surviving to thriving.
